Navigation

The use of the virtual desktop environment (VDE) makes navigating CISID easy. The VDE can be split into five areas:

  1. tabs
  2. application content
  3. links
  4. system applications
  5. secure login.

Tabs

Several application content pages can be open simultaneously, and users can move between them by clicking on the tabs. To return to a previously viewed application content page, click on the appropriate tab.

In addition, a user can close a content page by clicking on the close button on the tab.

Application content

The application content page acts as a desktop. When the user selects CISID applications, they appear in this area. To start a CISID application, find the desired application in the links or system applications areas and click on it.

Links

The links area contains links to external websites, tables of predefined data, internal WHO websites or downloadable files. Access a link by clicking on its icon in the links area. It then opens in a new application content page.

System applications

System applications are the heart of CISID's functionality. The system applications area shows the available applications.

Secure login

The secure login area is only needed for users with a special CISID user account. This account is not needed to take full advantage of CISID's publicly available functions.
