Layout
CISID uses a virtual desktop environment (VDE) layout that allows you simultaneously to view and work with several sets of data. The VDE makes extensive use of tabs, and is designed to present content consistently and logically. The layout is therefore intended to act like a desktop that uses tabs, similar to Netscape or Excel (see figures).

If you are using CISID with a standard browser, the tabs are laid out as shown in the figure. For definitions of the various navigation fragments, see the CISID navigation section.
